Highways and Major roads provides Interstates, U.S. highways, State highways and major roads on only two CDs. The database's three-tiered classification system identifies roads based on their mobility characteristics: limited access, unlimited access and major roads.
In Dynamap®/Highways and Major Roads, TeleAtlas corrects inconsistent road attributes inherited from TIGER to improve the routing capabilities of the data. In addition, TeleAtlas standardizes road names and provides several alternate names to ensure that all segments connect along the road network. To enable customers to perform interstate and intrastate routing, all roads sew across counties nationwide.
