2000 Places


A Place is a concentration of population either legally bounded as an incorporated place, or identified by the Census Bureau as a Census Designated Place. Incorporated places have political/statistical descriptions of borough (except in Alaska and New York), city, town (except in New England, New York, and Wisconsin), or village. This product includes files with and without water boundaries and an inventory file with centroids.
